What is Action Pistol Club?
The Action Pistol Club is a place to shoot and have fun. Our club allows you to practice techniques learned and developed through competition and defensive shooting.
This event allows you to draw from a holster and shoot. Drills involve one or more of the following skills
- malfunction clearance
- mag changes (Speed & Tactical)
- flashlight work
- support side
- non-conventional shooting positions
- moving while shooting
- use of cover
- long gun transitions
- and much more . . .
What if I've never shot before?
We are not a school and do not teach; however, our staff will be happy to assist you
with safe navigation of the course of fire.
We do require a few things.
- Safety is our number one priority and you MUST be able to follow instructions.
- You have shot at least 100 rounds.
- You know what all the buttons and knobs on your gun do.

How to Join Us
Open To: Anyone over 18 that can legally use a firearm.
Equipment:
- A gun in good condition
- A holster with a covered trigger guard
- Four to five spare magazines or speed loaders for a revolver
- Magazine pouches or speed loader carriers
- A sturdy belt
- Eye and ear protection
- Ammo:
- 50 rounds for new shooters (typical)
- 150 round for regular shooters (typical)
Fees:
Effective June 1, 2023*
- SCVRC Full Members $15
- All others $30
* Note at $5 processing fee is added for credit card payment onsite.
Pricing is a single price for the entire day. You can attend the morning rifle line and/or AP for a single fee.
